The American president (JFK)…

The American president (JFK) was walking through NASA’s headquarters and he was asking all the engineers and astronauts what they were up to. On his way out, he met the cleaner (who happened to be mopping the floor at the time). “What do you do here?” the President asked. “I’m helping to put a man on the moon” the cleaner replied.

If you are called to be a street cleaner, you should clean even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. You should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, ‘Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”

There are no excuses. No matter how ‘unimportant’ or shitty you think your job is someone will always wish they had it. Stand with pride at what you do, whether you believe it or not you are impacting on someone elses life.

So what job do you do?
